Hello All! This is the inaugural blog post for Crazy Sexy Rving, this blog that will chronicle my adventure around the United States over the next year in my snazzy new 21 ft travel trailer, which will soon be my new and only home. Whoo hoo! Tragically, the best photo I have of it right now is this one:
But there will be more. Look, there’s George! And there, of course, is the monster truck that will be pulling this majestic mobile beast. It’s 14 years old so it’s a bit of a granny, but it will make the trip. Just goes to show that little and … mature… can be mighty.
As I long for the day we leave, my trailer is currently waiting patiently for me in storage as I gather my wits and all my shit in preparation for the iconic voyage. There is much to be done – I am moving my entire three-bedroom house into a 176 square foot space, so there is no room for dilly-dallying! There’s no room for much of anything in fact, particularly considering George refuses to give up even ONE TOY. We might have to renegotiate on some terms, mister.
So how did this all come about? How is it that I came to be moving out of my house of nearly ten years to live on the road and have no address?
Well, it’s something I have always wanted to do. But more than that, it’s something I have always wanted to do. And when you finally decide to do something you have always wanted to do, you make it happen no matter what. It becomes the top priority.
Now I realize I am not the first person in the world to give up a stick home to live in an RV, but as a single female over… um… 35 shall we say?… I know it’s not exactly common. There will be a lot of you out there wondering how I am doing it, what I am thinking, and how it’s going. And, many of you will wish just a little bit (or maybe a lot) that you were doing the exact same thing.
So I am going to tell you the story, as it happens. I think this is going to be a journey to rival all others. George thinks so too. He can’t wait to get off the couch and start living again. Neither can I!
More later my friends…

Ah, Cousin, what an EXCITING thing to do! There is no rule that says we sit back and do nothing as time passes. I am all for grabbing the moment and enjoying life. GO GIRL! What a terrific story you will have of your travels. I am excited to hear about that perfect camping spot, the crusty camper beside you, the incredible sunrises over gorgeous lakes and mountain ranges…. we will be waiting!
